Child Care

We at Vista Education & Training have been working for many years in the Childcare field, mostly under the NCFE CACHE board and have successfully run programmes funded by local colleges and the local Council. Our External verifiers’ audits have consistently rated our provision as outstanding. All of our staff; Assessors; Tutors and Internal verifiers are fully qualified and DBS approved and aim to meet the needs of each student at their level, helping them to an Ofsted recognised qualification for employment in the Childcare sector

Currently we are offering NCFE CACHE EYE&C 2 (Level 2, Early Years Education & Care) and NCFE CACHE EYE 3: Level 3 Early Years Educator (Work-Based).

EYE&C 2: (Level 2 Certificate in an Introduction to Early Years Education and Care). We offer this qualification to individuals working in the early years setting and work closely with local Schools and Nurseries. We organise regular childcare classes where the students build up a knowledge base of childcare 0-7 years and practical work in a workplace which covers 0-5 years. This is a good starter course and a qualified person can be recognised as an Assistant in the classroom

Our qualified Assessors organise placement, 1:1 Feedback and planning sessions for each individual student. The Assessor will work with the student to build a portfolio and plan his/her observations in the workplace. Comprehensive feedback is given which is linked to the standards. This qualification can lead into EYE level 3 (Early Years Educator).

NCFE CACHE EYE 3: Level 3 Early Years Educator (Work-Based). To join this course Students are required to be currently employed in the childcare Sector. Vista Education & Training offers tutorials, 1:1 feedback and planning sessions with one of our qualified Assessors. Students will build up knowledge of all aspects of childcare ages 0-7 years. Practical work in the workplace covers 0-5 years.

NCFE CACHE Level 5 Diploma in Leadership fo rHealth and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services. There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification, but learners will need to be at least 19 years of age. It is also recommended that they will hold a Level 3 qualification or above in a related area. Learners will need to be working in the role of Deputy or Manager in an appropriate setting, or have the opportunity to carry out responsibilities associated with these roles to be able to study for the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services.

We will offer support and guide you through the qualification, identifying evidence gathering from your day to day work within your organisation.

Assessors work together with the student to build a portfolio of knowledge in all areas of childcare linked to all current Government and Ofsted requirements and legislation. Assessors go into the workplace to observe each student. This gives the student an opportunity to show professional growth.

Students will be also be supported to produce a Longitudinal Study using a range of methods over a period of time such as planning, observing and assessing a child’s development and an evaluation of the outcomes.
